Sagbayan, Bohol

Sagbayan is a municipality located in the province of Bohol, Philippines. It is situated in the central part of the island of Bohol and is approximately 39 kilometers away from the provincial capital city of Tagbilaran.

Sagbayan is known for its natural attractions, particularly the Sagbayan Peak which offers a panoramic view of the surrounding areas. The peak is also home to a butterfly sanctuary, a playground, and a restaurant.

In addition to its natural attractions, Sagbayan is also known for its rich cultural heritage. The town has several historic churches, including the Sagbayan Peak Chapel and the San Isidro Labrador Parish Church.

Bohol is accessible by air and sea, with Tagbilaran City serving as the gateway to the province. There are also ferries that connect Bohol to neighboring provinces and islands.

Sagbayan is also a hub for agriculture, with the production of rice, corn, vegetables, and fruits being the main sources of livelihood for the local residents. The town celebrates its annual fiesta on May 15, in honor of its patron saint, Saint Isidore the Farmer.
